The Cincu Training Area is an important military training area in Romania, located in the Transylvania region near Brașov. The area is used by the Romanian Land Forces and plays a central role in reinforcing NATO's eastern flank. Allied units train there together to exercise collective defence in South-Eastern Europe.
The terrain consists of rolling hill country, sweeping grassland, patches of deciduous forest and open fields at an elevation between 450 and 750 metres. That combination of open sightlines and wooded zones makes it suitable for both manoeuvre and fire-support exercises. In multinational cooperation, MGRS is the standard for sharing positions.
