Fort Liberty, known as Fort Bragg until 2023, lies in central North Carolina and is one of the largest military bases in the world. It hosts the 18th Airborne Corps and is home to the US airborne forces and special forces.
The terrain is predominantly flat, with sandy soils and sprawling pine forests interspersed with open drop and training zones.
