The Artillery Firing Range (ASK) 't Harde on the northern Veluwe is where Dutch artillery fires live. The camp trains in two areas: the Oldebroekse Heide north and the Doornspijkse Heide south of the N309 road. Guns have thundered here since 1875 — today mainly the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer and mortars.
With live fire, exact positioning is not a luxury but a safety requirement: target coordinates, safety templates and observer positions are all exchanged in MGRS.
